Throttle Control Lever (1). The throttle control
lever activates the engine speed governor
through a mechanical push-pull cable Pulling the
control lever rearward will Increase engine speed,
and pushing the lever forward will reduce the en-
gine speed, stopping the engine when held in the
full forward position.

Section I. DESCRIPTION AND USE OF OPERATOR CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
Direction Control Lever (2), The direction control
lever shifts the timing of the vibrator assembly to
change the forward-reverse direction of travel of
the unit. Push the lever forward for forward travel
and pull the lever fully back for reverse travel.
Guide Bar (3). The guide bar functions as a tiller
bar for steering the compactor during operation.
Cranking Handle (4). The cranking handle is
used to crank the engine during starting opera-
tions The handle is stored in a friction bracket on
the guide bar.
