Clamp the fuel line (3) near clamp (1). Clamp suf-
ficiently to close the fuel line to prevent spillage of
fuel without damaging fuel line.
With wash pan in place to receive spilled fuel,
pull fuel lines (3 and 4), from inlet and outlet nip-
ples of the fuel filter (5).
Remove fuel filter from unit, and dispose of prop-
erly in accordance with local policy.

Install new fuel filter (5), noting the direction of
flow arrow on side of fuel filter, to determine inlet
and outlet nipples. Arrow head points to the outlet
nipple.

Insert inlet nipple of fuel filter into fuel line (3)
coming from the fuel tank.
Insert outlet nipple of fuel filter into fuel line (4)
leading to fuel pump.
Seat fuel lines fully onto filter nipples,
Slide clamps (1 and 2) over fuel lines and secure,
firmly compressing lines onto nipples of the fuel
filter. Do not tighten clamps excessively. Remove
the clamping device installed in step 2, of RE-
MOVE.
When refueling fuel system for the first time,
check for fuel leakage at clamps.
