Install latch strap (6) on capscrew (9), with
notch facing forward while strap is hanging
down.

Install box end of wrench (13) over the stem
of capscrew (17) and secure with flat
washer (12) and wingnut (11).

Install locknut (8). Tighten locknut so as to al-
low movement of the latch strap (6).
m. Swing the transport dolly up under the guide
bar and secure with latch strap (6) engaging
the dolly axle.

Replace the axle frame (5) as follows:

Remove wheels per instructions of paragraph
1 above.
Release latch strap (6) and lower the trans-
port dolly to the ground.
Remove two locknuts (20), capscrews (22),
and four flat washers (21).
Slide axle (23) from bosses on axle frame (5)
and guide bar, freeing the axle frame.
Remove plastic flanged bushings (24) from
bore through guide bar.

eye protection is required. Good ventila-
tion is required. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point is
200 degrees F (93.3 degrees C).

Clean parts to be reinstalled with cloth damp-
ened with cleaning solvent and dry thor-
oughly.
Install new plastic bushings (24) into bore of
guide bar.
Position axle frame (5) under the guide bar
as shown and align the bosses with the bush-
ings just installed.
Install axle (23) through one boss of axle
frame, the bushings installed in axle
frame (5), and through second boss of axle
frame.
Align holes in axle (23) with holes through
bosses of axle frame (5), and install two cap-
screws (22), locknuts (20) and four flat wash-
ers (21) as shown. Tighten locknuts firmly,
but do not deform the bosses of axle frame.
Swing axle frame up under the guide bar and
secure with latch strap (6).
Install the two wheels per instructions of para-
graph 1, above.

Follow-on tasks include: Return compactor
to service.
