P-D-680, Type Ill, is moderately toxic to
the skin, eyes and respiratory tract;
avoid prolonged exposure. Skin and
eye protection is required. Good ventila-
tion is required. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point is
200° F (93.3° C).

Clean exterior of compression release (7) with a
rag dampened with dry cleaning solvent and dry
thoroughly. Ensure that all gasket material is re-
moved from compression release and top of gear
cover.
Clean all other parts in dry cleaning solvent and
dry thoroughly.
INSPECTION
1.
Inspect for free movement of the cam followers in
bottom of compression release (7).
2.
Inspect for excessive wear (dishing) on bottom of
the cam followers.
3.
Inspect threaded fasteners for stripped threads or
other damage.
4.
Replace any part found to be defective in any
way.
