P-D-680, Type Ill, is moderately toxic to
the skin, eyes and respiratory tract;
avoid prolonged exposure. Skin and
eye protection is required. Good ventila-
tion is required. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point is
200° F (93.3° C).

Clean the flywheel with dry cleaning solvent and
air dry.

Inspect the flywheel (1) for cracks or other dam-
age.

If flywheel (1) requires replacement, remove the
flywheel fan (Para. 4-38).

If flywheel fan was removed, install the fan (Para.
4-38).
Ensure that the end of the crankshaft is free of
grease and oil.
Install key (2) into key slot of crankshaft.
Carefully install the flywheel (1) onto the crank-
shaft, aligning the key slot with install key (2).
Seat the flywheel as squarely as possible onto
the crankshaft.
Install clutch (Para. 4-26).
