4-23. PROTECTION FRAME MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Compactor set on level ground in protected area.
Materials/Parts
Engine off.
lockwashers (4)

Replace a defective protection frame (1) as
follows.

Remove four capscrews (2) and lockwash-
ers (3)

Lift protection frame (1) from compactor.
4
lnspect threads of capscrews (2) for dam-
age. Replace any damaged fasteners.
5
Install protection frame (1) on compactor as
shown.
6
Secure with four capscrews (2) and lock-
washers (3) Tighten capscrews securely.
