Observe all WARNINGS and CAUTIONS
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect fuel lines from injector (Para. 4-29),
and install protective cap and plug to prevent en-
try of dirt.
2.
Remove two hex nuts (1), lockwashers (2) and in-
jector clamp (3).
3.
Remove injector assembly (4) from cylinder head.
4. Remove gasket (5)
CLEANING
W A R N I N G
P-D-680, Type Ill, Is moderately toxic to
the skin, eyes and respiratory tract;
avoid prolonged exposure. Skin and
eye protection is required. Good ventila-
tion Is required. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point is
200° F (93.3 C).
1.
Clean exterior of injector with rag dampened with
dry cleaning solvent and dry thoroughly.
2.
Carbon deposits on the nozzle of the injector (4)
may be brushed off with a brass brush.
