Ensure that orifices in nozzle are not plugged.

Clean all other parts in dry cleaning solvent and
dry thoroughly.
TEST
1.
Mount the injector (4) in an injector nozzle test
set.
W A R N I N G
Fuel from the injector is ejected at 2825
- 2975 psi (195 - 205 bar). Eye protec-
tion is required. Keep hands and arms
away from injector nozzle. Fuel ejected
at this pressure can penetrate the skin
and cause blood poisoning.

Operate the nozzle test set, observing both the
pressure at which the fuel ejects and for a even
pattern of atomized fuel.

If injector ejects fuel at specified pressure, and
has a uniform spray pattern, the injector may be
reinstalled.
4.
If ejection pressure is outside the specified pres-
sure range, or dribbles from nozzle, the injector
must be replaced

Install new gasket (5) in injector bore of cylinder
head. Ensure that the gasket is seated squarely
in bottom of bore.
Install injector assembly (4) and secure with injec-
tor clamp (3), lockwashers (2) and hex nuts (1).
Torque nuts to 5.9 - 8.7 ft-lbs (8 - 12 Nm), with
torque wrench and a 10mm socket.
Remove protective cap and plug.
Connect the fuel lines to injector (Para. 4-29).
